Photography is my expression of enjoying the landscape and a close view of nature. Exploring the creative potential of the camera and experimenting with multiple exposures, intentional camera movement and blending layers of images within camera and post production; my work is developing a distinctive contemporary style. I am a farmer in Cumbria bordering the Lake District in the shadow of Carrock fell. I have Blue Faced Leicester, Swaledale and Shetland sheep flock and my daughter in law also has 3 Herdwick sheep. I get their fleeces washed, carded and spun and sell to customers who spin and felt the wool for knitting and crocheters. I knit garments for sale sweaters, scarves, hats, and other small items using my own wool and other colourful natural yarns. I have developed unique knitting kits using my wools and also home dye the fleece and wool which I sell in a local cooperative store and online.

About 10 years ago I set up Hippy Lizard to share my products with you all and hopefully make people smile. I make fun and colourful textile gifts and also do animal portraits. I produce a wide range of bottles, bowls, paperweights, vases and sculptural works in an array of vivid colours, textures and finishes. Each piece has its own character and personality.
