A unique wedding in a beautiful setting

Whether your dream wedding is a grand celebration or a more intimate gathering, the castle offers an ideal setting, with a choice of spaces in flexible combination to suit every scale. From the moment you receive your guests until the last dance is over, it’s up to you to decide the look, the timetable, the menus, the entertainment, and all the little details that makes your wedding uniquely yours.

The Venue

We have a range of grand rooms; how you use them will be up to you. This does take a fair bit of time and planning, and while we can give you guidance, we want it to be your special day, so we will not research your options or make decisions for you. By investing your time, talents, and imagination, and with the help of family and friends, you will create a unique event, and memories that will last a lifetime.

Our Rooms

On the ground floor we have four principal reception rooms, each with a different character and style. Features include waxed oak floors, high vaulted ceilings and working fireplaces. Linking anterooms and numerous access points to the courtyard, let you combine almost any choice of spaces to suit the size of your event.

For a truly historic atmosphere we offer two rooms of the original medieval fortress.

Your Day

We supply some rooms entirely unfurnished, some rooms with existing furnishings, and you transform them into spaces for dining, dancing and relaxing.

In the three days before your wedding, you are invited to set up the rooms to your own design and bring in the flowers and other decorations.

In the day or two after the wedding we ask that you, or your family and friends, return to clear the spaces you have used.

Chapel

The chapel, with its beautiful wood vaulted ceiling and Gothic tiling, is directly accessible from the courtyard and adjoining rooms and can seat 70-100 guests.

It is available for services of blessing and renewal of vows but is not licensed for marriages.

The beautiful parish church of St Brandon’s is adjacent to the castle. You can find more information on the church’s website at Baptisms, Weddings, Funerals – St Brandon’s

What will it cost?
